# Features — Tennis IQ

> Every feature in Tennis IQ has one purpose: give tennis athletes the tools to train the mental game.

Built for the athlete who knows the mental game matters and wants the tools to actually train it.

## Mood Wheel

Name it. Tame it. Move forward.

Athletes do not arrive to practice or matches as blank slates — they arrive with emotions. The Mood Wheel is a fast visual check-in before they step on court. Naming the feeling helps athletes regulate faster, reset more easily, and move into a performance mindset. A check-in can unlock a personalized mindset session.

Emotions and the guidance attached to each one:

- Focused: You're in a peak state. Stay in the present moment, trust your training, and let each point be its own world.
- Confident: Lean into this energy. Attack the game plan and play to your strengths.
- Calm: The most powerful state. Calm is controlled power, not passivity.
- Happy: Carry this lightness in. Stay loose and play free.
- Nervous: Reframe nerves as excitement and use a pre-match routine.
- Anxious: Anxiety means this matters. Focus on routines, footwork, and the first few shots.
- Frustrated: One breath. One point. Reset posture and intention.
- Tired: Identify whether the fatigue is mental or physical, then compete within the game you still have.

## Smart journaling

Reflection without friction.

Journaling works in performance psychology only if athletes actually do it. Tennis IQ makes it quick and structured:

- Voice or type. Talk through a thought or write it out.
- Structured prompts so there is no blank page.
- A personal record of growth, patterns, and progress over time.

## Guided mindset sessions

Mental training, personalized daily.

Based on what a player logs, Tennis IQ delivers a short guided session for that exact state. Session types include:

- Confidence (about 5 minutes): rebuild self-belief after tough losses.
- Focus (about 4 minutes): stay locked in during critical points and long rallies.
- Emotional control (about 6 minutes): manage frustration, anxiety, and nerves.
- Match preparation (about 5 minutes): pre-match routines that set up competition.
- Recovery (about 4 minutes): process a match so you can reset and move forward.

How it works:

1. Log how you're feeling.
2. Receive a tailored session based on that state.
3. Step on court with clarity, moving from awareness to intention.

## Player directory

Know the context. Play smarter.

The Player Directory keeps track of opponents, teammates, and hitting partners so athletes are not relying on memory alone.

## A connected system

Tennis IQ learns the athlete, not just the moment. Daily check-ins, reflections, and match experiences stay connected:

- Check in with the Mood Wheel. Awareness starts everything.
- Reflect with journaling and notes. Thoughts, emotions, and patterns.
- Compete and log matches. Real experiences add context.
- Observe player insights. People, tendencies, and environments.
- Grow toward clarity, confidence, and control.
